Dentist – Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 0800 – 1615h, (days negotiable), no requirement for weekend or on-call work.
About the Role:
Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dentist to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team. This role focuses on providing high-quality dental care to a diverse patient population, with a particular emphasis on older adults and medically compromised individuals. The successful candidate will contribute to the hospital’s commitment to holistic rehabilitation and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive dental assessments, treatments, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with medical and rehabilitation professionals to support integrated care plans.
- Provide dental services tailored to the needs of older adults and patients with complex medical conditions.
- Perform clinical procedures including crowns, bridges, extractions, root canals, and basic restorations.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Educate patients and caregivers on oral health practices and preventive care.
Qualifications: Required
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active registration and good standing with the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta.
Preferred
- Demonstrated comfort and experience working with older adults and medically compromised clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to collaborative, patient-focused care.
