Family Medicine, Hospitalist - Grande Prairie Regional Hospital
The Grande Prairie Regional Hospital and/or Queen Elizabeth II Ambulatory Care Centre is seeking a Physician to support a variety of hospital Ambulatory Care programs.
Grande Prairie Regional Hospital - Virtual Tour
The ambulatory care physician will have Alberta Health Services hospital privileges. This position is full-time with support of facility based ambulatory care programs.
Duties include but not limited to:
• Reside in and have as his/her primary residence, Grande Prairie
• Full time participation and/or support of ambulatory care programs which may include but not limited to;
Management of outpatient I.V. therapy patients, including reassessments
Minor O.R. procedures, such as skin biopsies, mole removal, excision of lumps & bumps
IBD (Irritable Bowel Disease) patient follow up, including nutritional counselling
Rectal Bleed Clinic - reassess patients, including hemorrhoid banding
Wound Care Clinic - reassess patients and working within the multidisciplinary wound care team, including procedures
Pre-Admission Clinic - working in conjunction with anesthesiologists
Musculoskeletal Clinic - management of patients with non-operative MSK complaints
• Provide support to other ambulatory care patients or programs as required
• Contribute to and participate in teaching programs and activities
• Contribute to and participate in other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Must have current hospitalist experience in a rural and regional setting
- CCFP Certification (desired)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (desired)
