Locum Urgent Care Physician - Okotoks
Alberta Health Services (AHS), Calgary Zone is inviting applications from physicians with an interest in urgent care to join the Department of Rural Medicine at the Okotoks Urgent Care Centre. This is a one-year locum position with 4-8 shifts per month (days, afternoons, evenings, weekends) starting on the schedule in January 2026. The successful candidate should have the ability to pick up open or traded shifts within the group, as well as shifts needed to be covered at short notice due to unexpected physician absence or illness.

Required Qualifications:
The successful applicant will:
- Be certified in Family Medicine with the Canadian College of Family Physicians or certified in Emergency Medicine with the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians
- Hold active licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
- Have current medical liability insurance coverage
- Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Demonstrate strong, clear communication skills including written, auditory, and verbal
Preferred Qualifications:
ATLS and PALS certification
