Emergency Medicine Physician - Westview Health Centre (22-WHC-EM-LOC-22-24)
Alberta Health Services is inviting applications from Emergency Medicine Physicians to join the Department of Emergency Medicine in
the Edmonton Zone. A total of 3 FTE are offered with the opportunity to apply for a minimum of a 0.5 FTE commitment (5-6
shifts/month) up to a 1.0 FTE (11-12 shifts/month). Please state this clearly in your letter of intent. These positions are available starting
July 1, with an end date of June 30, 2023.
Please note: Locum positions are temporary assignments; physicians recruited to locum positions who wish to become permanent or extend their locum will be required to apply for positions as they become available on the Doctor Jobs website.
The candidate will have exceptional communication skills and a passion for quality and patient safety. They will be considered a strong clinician by their peers.
The successful applicant will have certification in Emergency Medicine with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada or the College of Family Physicians Canada (FRCPC or CCFP-EM) and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
ACLS, PALS, ATLS and NRP competency are required. Residents must be eligible to write the appropriate exam at the next sitting. In collaboration with their colleagues, the successful candidate will deliver care and consultation services to emergency patients and participate in the program's rotating shift schedule.
